It's... been a long time...

So, it's been a while. You know, two years or so. A lot has happened since then.

Graduated college. Got a full-time job (not a great one, though, but you know... it pays the bills). And something else:

I have been hired to illustrate a Graphic Novel. This news is actually pretty recent, only a month or so old, so not a whole lot has been done so far. Nevertheless, I've been contacted by someone at the college I graduated and he asked if I'd be willing to illustrate his idea for a Graphic Novel. He has done most of the writing, but he wanted an artist available to meet and discuss ideas with... and, well, my name apparently came up.

So, it's been a while...

I may update with some of the concepts I've been working so far on the Graphic Novel, but at the moment the author wants to keep most of it hush-hush. I'm super excited about it, and obviously so is the author. We're pulling inspiration from lots of things, but the story is still unique to itself (not saying it hasn't been done before, though). These sources range from Mass Effect to I, Robot, to Treasure Planet to Destiny, from HALO to Portal, to Star Wars to Assassin's Creed. We're gathering anything and everything Science Fiction and looking at what they did as inspiration for this novel. If he gives the 'okay' for me to post some artwork, I'll make sure to do so on here. We're also planning on setting up a Facebook Fan page, for those of you who would be interested enough to keep updated on what we're doing. When that gets up and running, I'll be sure to link to it in a journal entry.

I'm still somewhat on that art hiatus I've had for the past year and a half since graduation, but at least working on this is better than playing Skyrim and Magic: the Gathering during my free-time off work. Just don't expect me to upload any personal work anytime soon.
